Tesla usually meets and then exceeds its hype, albeit far after it was supposed to.
Chevy’s attempts so far have continually lowered expectations until a sub-par shadow of the initial promise is released.

Well, Chevy does have in-car WiFi and a radio that automatically lowers the volume until all seat belts are buckled, so, take that Tesla! When’s the last time a random idiot off the street confused YOU for an Audi, huh?

It’s less hideous, inside and out, than the 3. It’s got that going for it.

Nope. That’s not true.

You’ve just revealed Chevy’s secret customer base for the Bolt:
All those “real people, not actors” who confuse it for a Model S!

First reaction: “LOL, shouldn’t it be the other way around?”
Second reaction: “Oh, wait; it’s an April Fools joke isn’t it?”
But the article , despite being dated April 1, raises some fair points. Honestly, I expect the Bolt will probably be a more well-rounded car, more suitable for buyers in that price range. But I also expect the Model to be more technologically impressive than the Bolt in several ways. If I was in the market, it would be a tough choice indeed.

That’s completely true. The Model 3 is the second ugliest new car to come out in recent times, and the Model X is the ugliest. The interior is the biggest afterthought I’ve seen in a while. It looks as if they thought they would be late again with the release, and decided to glue a spare computer monitor onto the empty dash. Sure the Chevy looks like a normal econobox, but at least it’s boring, not butt ugly.

Just so I wouldn’t have to look at the Model 3, I would buy the Bolt.

But it’s also a huge brand psychology spectacle. Many of these people don’t necessarily want the “best” electric car; they want to be seen in a Tesla.

“I thought it was a BMW!"

Looks are purely subjective. So you’re wrong.

Yes, and no. They designed it in a way that interprets that it is unfinished. It’s got a couple of features that seem to be a time rushed afterthought, like the front and the rear.

OMG I hate those damn commercials.
“So what brand do you think this car is?”
“Uhhhhmmmmmm, is it a Bentley?”
“Nope! It’s a Chevrolet Spark, which is even better!!”

How can he be wrong if looks are subjective. To him, that’s what he believes.

Oh my god now you’re defending Chevy against another brand.
Stop it! You're scaring me!

To be fair, the Model X and 3 are ugly as shit. Sure, it’s probably better than the Bolt in every other way, but they are ugly to the point that I would buy a lesser product to avoid looking at them if I had to choose.

That's better. Thank you.

If you’d like a little more, I think it’s fucking bullshit that GM is only honoring warranty on track used cars as long as it’s a performance package 1LE or above. Still plan on buying one though.

I mean, they could just not honor the warranty at all, but you know, tomato tomato.

Yeah, like a certain company owned by Italians who refused warranties on cars for clutch repairs with less than 5k miles.
